  • This film's title comes from the poem "Love and Life" by John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester.
  • In 1995, All That Heaven Allows was inducted into the National Film Registry. 
  • All That Heaven Allows was released on DVD and Blu-ray as part of The Criterion Collection in 2001.
  • Todd Haynes' 2002 film Far from Heaven is an homage to Douglas Sirk's work in general and All That Heaven Allows in particular. The two films share the same basic plot, of a woman falling in love with a younger man with a lower social status.
