  • Truman Capote's "non-fiction novel" In Cold Blood, whose creation this film's plot revolves around, was adapted for the screen twice: the 1967 feature film directed by Richard Brooks and starring Robert Blake and John Forsythe, and the 1996 made for television production directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Eric Roberts, Anthony Edwards and Sam Neill.
