Synopsis:
As three generations of a family in a small Texas town gather for the funeral of their Grandma Peggy, we learn the hilarious, sad, trashy truths of their sordid lives.

Notes/Trivia:
  • Del Shores' play Sordid Lives debuted in 1996 in Los Angeles, winning 14 Drama League Awards. Shores has said that the play includes elements from his life. The film contains many of the original actors from the stage production.
  • In 2008, Sordid Lives: The Series aired for one season on Logo TV. Set prior to the events of the play and movie, the series starred several cast members from the film, including Bonnie Bedelia, Beth Grant, Leslie Jordan and Olivia Newton-John. New cast members included Jason Dottley (Del Shores' then-husband), Rue McClanahan, Caroline Rhea and David Steen.
