Growing up in Québec during the 1960s and 70s, Zac Beaulieu (the fourth of five brothers) struggles to define his own identity and deal with the conflict between his emerging sexuality and his intense desire to please his strict, temperamental father.

  • The title derives from the first letter of the first names of the five brothers: Christian, Raymond, Antoine, Zachary and Yvan. It also refers to their father's abiding love for Patsy Cline's song "Crazy".
  • The screenplay was based on co-writer François Boulay's memories of growing up.
  • The official Canadian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar at the 2005 Academy Awards.
