Synopsis:
In 1965, lovers Angel and Sam (known as "los Mellizos", or "the Twins") turn to bank robbery and murder, holding Argentina and Uruguay hostage as they lead the authorities on a two-month-long manhunt.

Notes/Trivia:
  • Ricardo Piglia's novel Plata Quemada, inspired by a true story of an infamous 1965 bank robbery in Buenos Aires, was first published in 1997. It has been said that the film is more authentic to the real events than Piglia's fictionalized book.
