  • The film's title comes from the 1982 Stevie Nicks song "Edge of Seventeen", a.k.a. "Just Like the White Winged Dove".
  • Co-writer Todd Stephens based the story on his own youth and coming out. In fact, the amusement park scenes were filmed at Cedar Point, where he had worked when he was in high school. .
  • Film debuts of both Tina Holmes and Andersen Gabrych.
  • The second and last film to date of Chris Stafford, who is now a lawyer.
  • Andersen Gabrych appeared as a drugged-out version of his Edge of Seventeen character Rod in Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!, which was written and directed by Todd Stephens.
