  • Internet Movie Database: 6.2/10
  • Rotten Tomatoes - Critics: 24% / Audience: 47%
  • Metacritic - Critics: 41% / Audience: 8.1%
  • OMG rating: 6/10

  • DVD: Available

  • The film's title is taken from Salvador Dalí's painting Cenicitas (Little Ashes).
  • Some consider this film fictionalized (at least in part), for while it is widely acknowledged that Federico García Lorca was infatuated with Dalí, Dalí himself denied ever having entered into a romantic relationship with him.
  • Robert Pattinson has said that he "pleasured himself to completion in a scene", as faking it "just doesn’t work". He added, "My orgasm face is recorded for eternity". He also stated that the production was the "worst" as working around other naked male actors was "mortifying".
  • Federico García Lorca is also the subject of the 1996 biopic Death in Granada starring Andy Garcia.
